Stop Boring Your Customers!
Customers don't care what year you were invented. Customers don't care about how you got stuck in traffic and how frustrating it was. Customers don't care about your quota and why you REALLY need to bring in the order this month or you'll lose out on your bonus/trip/President's Club.
Customers DO care about themselves. As you think through your customer interactions this week, start thinking, "Is this really going to be interesting to my customers? Or is this going to be boring to them?"
I spent 10+ years in the trenches as a sales rep. Now I've spent 10+ years as a speaker/trainer, doing research on customers so I can understand them better and help YOU understand them better.
And there's one thing that's for sure: Customers don't like to be bored by stuff that isn't relevant or interesting to them. Stop boring your customers.

Have you ever noticed that the super healthy people are the ones who are always finding new ways to work out and eat healthy? Even though they're already on the right track, they don't rest. They keep working. They keep learning.
I have found this to be a very similar concept in my business. The companies that are already super healthy and growing are the ones that want to hire me to sharpen their skills, and this is precisely WHY they're already a booming business. They never get tired of getting better, and this is very true of the seminar I ran last week for Med One Group.
What a fantastic group of enthusiastic sales professionals, marketing personnel and management. They ALREADY have an amazing culture with low turnover and happy customers, but even so, they want to keep learning. They want to keep finding new ways of doing things, so they can grow, but also so they can keep their customers happy.
Bravo to you and your team, Robb Stevens! I was honored to work with you and your team!
